    Sales Manager

    Job Description

    1. Sales Leadership & Strategy

    • Translate company sales objectives into regional sales plans and execution strategies.
    • Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics for the sales team.
    • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
    • Drive alignment between sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution.

    2. People Management & Team Development

    • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Engineers to achieve individual and team sales targets.
    • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, pipeline reviews, and performance evaluations.
    • Identify skill gaps and implement on-the-job coaching and training plans (e.g., consultative selling, solution selling).
    • Recruit, onboard, and mentor new sales team members.
    • Foster a high-performance sales culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

    3. Key Account & Relationship Management

    • Manage and grow strategic and key customer accounts, especially high-value or complex projects.
    • Support the sales team in critical negotiations, tenders, and contract reviews.
    • Build long-term relationships with decision-makers, system integrators, OEMs, and end-users.
    • Act as an escalation point for major customer issues and ensure resolution in line with company standards.

    4. Sales Execution & Pipeline Governance

    • Oversee the full sales cycle including prospecting, proposal development, tender submissions, and contract negotiations.
    • Review and validate sales forecasts, pipelines, and opportunity qualification.
    • Ensure sales activities are properly documented in CRM systems.
    • Drive consistent sales discipline and structured account planning across the team.

    5. Cross-Functional & Marketing Support

    • Support marketing initiatives such as trade shows, product launches, seminars, and industry events.
    • Collaborate with application engineers, service teams, and principals to deliver integrated solutions.
    • Provide market feedback to management on product gaps, pricing strategies, and customer expectations.

    Requirements

    1. Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
    2. 5–8 years of experience in industrial automation sales, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership or senior sales role.
    3. Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, Robotics, Sensors, Drives, and automation solutions.
    4. Proven leadership skills: experience leading, coaching, and developing sales teams with strong performance management capabilities.
    5. Ability to balance hands-on selling with team leadership responsibilities effectively.
    6. Solid commercial skills including negotiation, contract management, sales forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline oversight.
