    AVP, Senior Credit Analyst (Korean Desk) - MNC Bank - Singapore/Hong Kong

    An established international brand name is currently looking hire an experienced Senior Credit Analyst for their MNC desk in Asia. Reporting to the Head of Asian MNC, you would be expected to collaborate with Corporate Relationship Managers in managing credit exposure with existing Asian MNC clients in Korea and assess new opportunities with prospective customers. Position can be based in either Hong Kong or Singapore. In return, you can expect total remuneration of up to SGD 120,000 / HKD 700,000 per annum

    Job Description

    • Undertake Due Diligence (DD) visits / calls with clients, lead credit conversations and collect credit information necessary for undertaking credit analysis
    • Responsible for proposing to CRO Asia, together with Relationship Managers, clients’ ratings for approval 
    • Responsible for elaborating and coordinating with Relationship Managers, Product Specialists and Credit Risk Officers clients’ group credit strategies 
    • Analyze financial models with the ability to sensitize models and perform forecasting
    • Conduct in-depth credit research and analysis on borrowers and write high quality Credit Memos. This include projecting borrower's future operating performance and financial position backed by realistic assumptions and sensitivity analyses (base case and downside case)

    • Minimum 5 years of work experience analyzing corporates in a Rating Agency, Commercial Bank, or an Investment Bank
    • Familiarity with the Corporate Banking market in Korea
    • Strong written and interpersonal communications skills
    • Strong financial modelling skills
    • Team player, result oriented and shows ability to adapt
    • Quant background, though not a must, will be an advantage

    Our Client is a major Chinese Bank looking to hire a Credit Risk Manager. To support the Bank’s Private Wealth Management business unit a new position has been appointed within the Bank’s risk management team. The desired candidate is expected to work with not only the product & credit underwriting teams and senior management of the branch, but also at the Head Office as deemed necessary. The role offers exposure to credit policy setting and revision, collaboration with IT development team and credit portfolio management. • Oversee the overall credit risk management • Formulate and revise the credit risk policy • Perform risk assessments

    Job Description

    • Ensure Credit Risk management policies and procedures are aligned with internal framework and external regulatory requirements
    • Risks assessment on loan applications, reviews or any other aspects upon requests
    • Conduct different periodical reporting and suggest areas of improvement
    • Oversee the overall credit risk management of the business unit
    • Be the owner of formulating and revising the credit risk policies and strategies
    • Perform risk assessments for credit related regulatory requirements, follow-up throughout the closure of risks and gaps identified
    • Perform post-drawdown review to ensure compliance with credit policies and relevant requirements
    • Monitor credit portfolio and prepare necessary credit risk reporting to risk management committee
    • Provide credit risk input & comment during the development and testing of the Branch’s credit systems and projects
    • Review the level of non-performing loan and the sufficiency on provision

    • University degree or equivalent
    • 7 years and above experience in credit risk management, with a minimum of 4 years within credit approval to individual customers
    • Strong understanding with overall credit management
    • An in-depth understanding and knowledge with credit-related regulations, guidelines and related controls
    • Familiar with secured lending business and advantage for wealth lending experience.
