    Group Insurance Business Development Assistant Vice President (Brokers Channel)

    Our life insurer client is looking for passionate and influential individuals with experience within Group Insurance, to manage the Broker Channels and in charge of growth and profitability.

    Job Description

    • Service all intermediaries relating to group insurance products.
    • Building and managing relationships with business partners for new business and renewal retention.
    • Providing quotations/handle renewal & recommend renewal terms in accordance to the business acceptance, risk management & underwriting, profitability guidelines.
    • Sending renewal notice to intermediaries.
    • Follow-up with intermediaries on renewal confirmation and / or credit control.
    • Conduct training presentations for intermediaries and business partners;
    • Ensure prompt submission of renewal confirmations and employees data for billings, as well as liaising with internal operation team to resolve servicing and operational related matters.
    • Making sure risks are underwritten and accepted in accordance to the guidelines on business acceptance, risk management & underwriting profitability.
    • Accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
    • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
    • Highlight potential concerns, risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
    • Undertake other projects assigned.

    Requirements

    • Tertiary degree or diploma or equivalent industry qualifications.
    • 5 years working experience in sales and marketing in group insurance.
    • Relevant experience on group insurance will be added advantage.
    • Good knowledge of Life and Health group insurance products.
    • Strong in interpersonal skills & relationship-building.
    • Diligent and driven to meet sales targets.
    • IT skills in Excel, Powerpoint, Access and Word are essential.
    • M9, M5 & Health Insurance qualification will be added advantage.

    Job Description

    • Achieve First Year and Renewal Budgets of TWNS and NBEV Budget for the Agency and Financial Advisory channels
    • Engage and develop working relationships with distribution partners at all levels to secure positive distribution share.
    • Sales and campaign management across all channels (Agency, Bancassurance, Digital)
    • Leverage and deploy digital and social media tools to maximize sales productivity of our distribution partners.
    • Identify market trends, gaps and opportunities for A&H sales and product marketing
    • Formulate product marketing, distribution strategies and action plans to deliver the budget

    Active involvement in:

    • Working with the marketing, product development and proposition teams to conceptualize the product and provide Market Validation (competitiveness and customer value)
    • Curating and delivering product propositions and sales pitches to the distribution network
    • Portfolio and channel performance monitoring and analysis
    • Working with the Marketing and Consumer Promotion teams to craft promotional materials and consumer promotion offerings
    • Working with distribution, customer value and technology partners to digitally enable (via use of online and social medial marketing and communication tools) the Agency and Financial advisory in goal-setting and sales performance management.
    • Multiplying their capacity and reach to their customers and the marketplace and to spread A&H capability and expertise in A&H sales and product training
    • Liaising and working closely with back and middle office stakeholders to ensure excellence in service delivery
    • Lead or participate in projects assigned by the Head of Department
    • Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
    • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company

    • Minimum Degree qualification from a recognized institution.
    • At least 4 to 5 years’ experience in A&H (General or Life Insurance)
    • Working knowledge of business development with sales channels (Agency, Financial Advisory, brokers)
