    Job Description

    • Strategy Development: Develop comprehensive market access strategies for new and existing medical devices to optimize reimbursement and market penetration.

    • Reimbursement Planning: Identify and analyze reimbursement policies, payer trends, and healthcare economics to inform product pricing and reimbursement strategies.

    • Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR): Conduct or oversee HEOR studies to generate evidence of the clinical and economic value of medical devices, supporting reimbursement submissions and market access negotiations.

    • Payer Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key payers, including government agencies, private insurers, and managed care organizations, to advocate for favorable coverage and reimbursement policies.

    • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and changes related to market access and reimbursement for medical devices, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams such as R&D, marketing, sales, and regulatory affairs to integrate market access considerations into product development, commercialization, and lifecycle management activities.

    • Market Access Submissions: Prepare and submit reimbursement dossiers, applications, and supporting documentation to regulatory authorities and payers to obtain favorable coverage and reimbursement decisions.

    • Value Proposition Development: Work with marketing and sales teams to develop compelling value propositions and messaging that articulate the clinical and economic benefits of our medical devices to stakeholders.

    • Data Analysis: Utilize market data, health outcomes data, and financial data to assess market access opportunities and track the performance of medical devices in the market.

    • Training and Education: Provide training and education to internal stakeholders, including sales representatives and executives, on market access strategies, reimbursement policies, and payer dynamics.

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., healthcare administration, health economics, business administration), advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 3 - 4 years of experience in market access, reimbursement, health economics, or a related field within the medical device industry.
    • In-depth knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems, payer landscape, and regulatory requirements.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data to inform decision-making.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful market access strategies for medical devices.
    • Experience with reimbursement submissions, health economics research, and payer negotiations.
    • Familiarity with relevant regulations and guidelines (e.g., FDA regulations, CMS coverage policies).
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
