    Job Description

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • To oversee HR Risk & Compliance Section in performing risk & compliance functions related to human resources
    • To design, plan, organize, implement and oversee human resources programmes, policies and functions related to HR risk & compliance, and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
    • To interpret legal and regulatory requirements, and formulate operational strategy for HR processes related to risk & compliance management
    • To manage HR compliance obligations and conduct risk/compliance check or self-assessment
    • To act as the central point of contact on HR risk & compliance matters within division.
    • To monitor operational risk incidents and follow up on comments from Compliance Division, Internal Audit Department, HKMA, external auditors, etc.
    • To supervise subordinate activities and participate in HR activities in peer banks, professional societies and relevant organizations
    • To undertake ad-hoc HR risk and compliance related projects

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS

    • University graduate, preferably Master in Business Administration or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in human resources management, of which at least 10 years at managerial level.
    • Good knowledge of human resources management.
    • Solid experience in planning and developing human resources policies and practices.
    • Ability to drive projects in deadline driven situations and communicate to all levels internally and externally.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
    • Native or fluent in Mandarin, proficient in English, Cantonese would be plus

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Work directly with Head of Risk Oversight in a transformational initiative to optimize and upscale Risk Data, MIS and Reporting and presentations
    • The role implies ownership of Risk Data/MIS and broadly comprises two different responsibilities 1) data gathering 2) use of data for risk analysis, reports and presentations
    • The candidate will be working and serving a team of financial professionals with limited knowledge of data science, so ability to understand their needs and provide solutions is key
    • Manage data from different sources including internal sources (Risk, Accounting and Business Lines) and external (Bloomberg and Reuters)
    • Design, build and maintain a Risk Data Map and Repositories as the base for regular reporting
    • Use data visualization tools to create and maintain dynamic dashboards and regular reports
    • Automatize the production of numerous recurrent reports
    • Prepare data for ad hoc analysis to help the team and line manager to analyze and prepare it for management decision making
    • Generate data to support compliance with internal and external audits, as well as regulator on-site and offsite examinations

    Requirements

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Degree in Business Analytics or similar
    • Proficiency in Python, Power BI, SQL, Qlik Sense or similar
    • Good Command of Excel, including usage of complex macros
    • Knowledge of Bloomberg and Reuters
    • Experience with power point or other presentation tools will be highly valued
    • Minimum 3 years' experience managing financial data and understanding of banking accounting and risk terminology
    • Experience in consultancy for Financial Institutions is preferred
    • International experience and ability to work with people from different nationalities is appreciated
    • Newly created role that requires entrepreneurial spirit, curiosity to learn, solutions-oriented mind set and CAN-DO approach
    • Open minded and flexibility to work and learn from people with different professional (non-technical) and cultural backgrounds
    • Written and spoken English. Cantonese, Mandarin and Spanish could be an advantage
    • Immediate availability is highly preferred
