Regional Sales Manager (Marine Division)

Their Singapore Regional Headquarters acts as the mission-critical hub for Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East. Joining this team offers a high-visibility opportunity to drive regional market share, manage sophisticated distributor networks, and represent a "Gold Standard" global brand in the international maritime arena.
Roles and Responsibilities: The Regional Sales Executive is responsible for coordinating with international distributors to market and promote marine power solutions while identifying new growth segments across diverse geographical territories.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Channel Performance Management: Track and analyze distributor sales performance to ensure regional budget targets are consistently met.
- Strategic Business Development: Constantly explore new market segments and develop long-lasting relationships with potential clients to address their unique propulsion needs.
- Market Intelligence & Forecasting: Analyze regional market situations and competitor activity to provide accurate forecasts and strategic data to Department Heads.
- Commercial Documentation: Prepare complex quotations and technical proposals for regional distributors and high-value customers.
- Distributor Capability Building: Analyze dealer and distributor management systems to identify gaps and implement improvement plans.
- Regional Support & Events: Provide comprehensive support for sales seminars, international campaigns, and promotional programs across the assigned territories.
- Team Growth: Identify knowledge gaps within the commercial team and develop plans to enhance collective technical and sales proficiency.

- Education: Minimum Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Preferably 5–10 years of related experience within the marine or shipbuilding industry, with a strong grasp of the industrial sales process.
- Competencies: Resourceful, goal-oriented, and highly self-motivated with the ability to convey a professional, authoritative image to global stakeholders.
- Analytical Skills: Numerate and IT literate, with confidence in technical report writing and executive-level sales presentations.
- Interpersonal Excellence: Enthusiastic communicator with a high sense of integrity and transparency in handling international partnerships.

Roles and Responsibilities:
The Manager of the Marine Power Systems Division is responsible for steering the regional sales operations and achieving high-level commercial targets. Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Regional P&L Ownership: Drive the division’s sales and profit targets, ensuring alignment with the Group’s mid-term strategic business plans.
- Strategic Market Development: Analyze regional maritime trends and competitor landscapes to develop sales policies and identify untapped growth opportunities.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary executive liaison for a network of major regional distributors, international partners, and the global corporate office.
- Financial & Operational Governance: Oversee divisional budgets, pricing strategies, and the implementation of robust SOPs and risk management frameworks.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Direct the Marine Marketing and Sales department, fostering a high-performance culture focused on results and professional accountability.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Manage complex customer requests and oversee the resolution of technical or commercial challenges within the regional market.

- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or a related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in industrial or capital equipment sales, with at least 6 years in a dedicated leadership or management role.
- Industry Focus: Proven track record in Marine propulsion, Power Systems, or Heavy Machinery industries is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and experience in implementing standard operating procedures and sales policies.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills.
- Cultural Adaptability: Experience working within a multi-cultural business environment and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder requirements across the APAC region.
