    Our Client is one of the largest composite insurer known globally is seeking for a Senior Underwriter to lead in the New Business underwriting team. As a lead, you will be responsible to provide all underwriting support for all individual product lines in the New Business underwriting. This role will be reporting to the Head of New Business.

    Job Description

    • Build a strong UW service in NB department across the Company; manage a team of underwriters, supporting applications submitted by distribution
    • Oversee the research, develop and implement of all underwriting initiative to ensure Company maintains at a competitive edge, ensure awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
    • Provide underwriting advice and support for distribution representatives through e-booking, emails and phone calls; underwriting advice to agency leaders through regular meet up sessions.
    • Provide critical liaison and build strong business relationship between NBU and distributors.
    • Ensure department’s KPI are achieved.
    • Conduct underwriting training for distribution channels; and review on pending cases.
    • Assigned special project management (e.g.) from time to time reviewing underwriting guidelines, review and streamline work processes to support business operations.

This role is part of the Investment team which is responsible for helping the Company achieve its objective of delivering sustainable performances to our policyholders and shareholders. As the SAA/ALM Lead, you will be supporting to implement SAA/ALM and derivative overlay solutions to enhance risk-returns for the Company's investments. You will also ensure that the fiduciary duties as an asset owner have been fulfilled and properly discharged through fund managers.

    Job Description

    • Enhance SAA/ALM Framework and support the investment process across the insurance assets of the Company.
    • Support development of sound capital management and macroeconomic methodology to formulate long-term economic regimes and market strategies across the asset classes
    • Propose SAA/ALM solutions including portfolio hedging in consideration of capital, returns and risks for liability-driven solutions. Monitor these portfolio solutions regularly or when economic regimes change, including financial impact and rebalancing when necessary
    • Assist evaluation of existing and prospective asset classes and investment strategies. Monitor asset mispricing, new market trends for cross asset value arbitrage and asymmetric risk-reward trades
    • Work with Actuarial, Product and other teams in enhancing ALM, derivative hedging and asset sourcing
    • Assist in articulating the investment views and strategies to the distribution channels through communications, presentations and investment notes.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor degree or post-graduate degree in relevant field of Finance or Accounting
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in investment management, capital markets and/or insurance consulting. Actuarial experience will be an advantage.
    • Knowledge market technicalities with relevant accreditation and prior experience in insurance investment concepts such as Dollar Duration, Cash Flow Matching, Risk Budgeting, Capital Optimization etc

    Job Description

    • Publish and maintain data quality artefacts (guidelines, standards, dashboards, etc.) online to raise user awareness and facilitate self-service;
    • Conduct data quality and trend analysis to ensure continuous improvements and provide updates to the management accordingly;
    • Monitor data quality issues and track remediation activities to ensure timely and effective closure;

    Manager, Regulatory Compliance

You will be part of a team to drive and implement the Compliance Risk Management Framework and compliance requirements effectively supporting the business units in their duty to comply with relevant laws and regulations.

    Job Description

    • Provide advisory on regulatory requirements to business units; and general compliance matters to all entities; and be involved in new initiatives / projects, if any, to assess compliance with regulatory requirements;
    • Providing oversight and support to the local entities and this include the review of monthly compliance communication pack submissions by the respective local entities, monitor any significant regulatory development in the respective countries;
    • Coordinate responses from the respective business units for MAS / LIA / GIA regulatory information requests and ensure the submission timeline to the regulators are adhered to.
