  This role partners closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design and deliver technology solutions for banking applications, and provide ongoing system support to ensure smooth daily operations.
  Job Description

  • Engage stakeholders across Front Office, Finance, Risk, Capital Markets, and Operations to understand business processes and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
  • Participate in the full solution lifecycle including development, unit testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) support, validation, and production deployment.
  • Coordinate with regional or head office teams and external vendors on project delivery and issue resolution.
  • Provide operational support for business applications and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Implement system enhancements and code updates, ensuring timely and stable releases.

  Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT Business Analysis or application development within the banking or financial services environment. Candidates deployed to banks through IT service providers are also considered.
  • Hands-on programming capability is required.
  • Strong proficiency in both English and Chinese (spoken and written) as communication with overseas stakeholder teams and documentation are primarily in Chinese.
  • Solid technical exposure in:
    
    • SQL, data processing / ETL, Hive, and data visualization
    • Python development, with experience in at least one framework such as Django
    • Familiarity with regulatory reporting systems (e.g., MAS reporting) is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft BI tools such as VBA, Power BI, or SQL Server is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively under tight timelines, both independently and within a team.
