Production Specialist (Food Technology / Upscaling)

- Roles and Responsibilities: The Production Specialist is responsible for the end-to-end upscaling of food products (including seasonings and pastes) from laboratory formulations to high-volume factory production.
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Trial & Upscaling: Lead the transition from lab-scale prototypes to mass manufacturing; design structured trial protocols and evaluate consistency in taste, texture, and quality.
- Process Optimization: Gain a deep understanding of workshop machinery to optimize processing lines for noodles, seasoning pastes, and powders.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve root-cause malfunctions, trial errors, and ingredient discrepancies during the manufacturing process.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and Industrial Safety standards across all production activities.
- Project Management: Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure product launch milestones and production timelines are met.
- Meticulous Documentation: Maintain detailed records of trials, raw material usage, and process parameters to ensure full traceability.
- Cost Management: Apply a strong "cost concept" to minimize waste and optimize raw material utilization while maintaining the highest quality standards.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related Manufacturing field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in FMCG production. Direct experience in instant noodle manufacturing or seasoning processing is highly advantageous.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of specialized processing lines (e.g., steaming, frying/drying, and seasoning application).
- Analytical Ability: Proven ability to design structured trial plans and analyze data to solve complex production issues.
- Language Proficiency: Proficient in written and spoken Chinese to effectively communicate with regional Chinese-speaking stakeholders and interpret technical documentation.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest product development trends and technologies in the instant noodle and beverage industry.
- Lead and manage a team of product development professionals, providing them with training, coaching, and mentorship.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, with a focus on selecting and optimizing raw materials for instant noodles and beverages.
- Conduct product testing and evaluation to ensure that instant noodles and beverages meet customer expectations, with a focus on optimizing raw material use for taste, texture, and nutritional value.
- Provide expert product development guidance to cross-functional teams, including insights into raw material selection and functionality.
- Represent the company in interactions with external partners, such as suppliers and manufacturers of raw materials for instant noodles and beverage.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology or Nutrition.
- At least 5 years of experience in product development, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing a team of product development professionals.
- In-depth knowledge of raw materials used in instant noodles and beverages, including flours, starches, fats and oils, flavors, sweeteners, and functional ingredients.
- Strong understanding of applicable product development methodologies and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in both English and Chinese is required, with strong proficiency in verbal and written communication in Chinese, as a significant portion of correspondence with Chinese-speaking stakeholders
