  Senior Manager – IT Infrastructure & Operations

  Our client is looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead and optimise IT infrastructure operations and application support to ensure robust, resilient and scalable systems meet evolving business and operational needs.
  Job Description

  • Lead and manage the IT infrastructure operations team, overseeing incident management, service and change requests, patching and vulnerability assessments.
  • Analyse recurring incidents and system trends to implement continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Drive end-to-end project management including scoping, planning, execution, risk management and cost control to ensure timely, quality deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance on network designs and improvements as well as perform troubleshooting when needed.
  • Conduct assessments and reviews of current infrastructures covering servers, virtualization platforms, networking and storage systems.
  • Align application infrastructure needs with the existing IT setup and propose optimizations and enhancements.
  • Draft RFPs, evaluate suppliers and manage procurement processes to select cost-effective and capable vendors and partners.
  • Support deployments and upgrades of new and existing applications in collaboration with various stakeholders.

  Requirements

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science or related fields with 8–9 years of hands-on experience in data center operations, network management, virtualization (VMWare/Hyper-V) and Linux system administration.
  • At least 6–7 years of experience leading IT operations teams with a focus on business-as-usual (BAU) support.
  • Strong technical expertise in LAN/WAN network design and maintenance.
  • Experience with infrastructure/application monitoring tools including setup and configuration.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation for system tasks.
  • Proven experience in project management and handling vendor/outsourcing contracts.
  • Familiarity with middleware, databases and cybersecurity best practices.
