Supply Chain Systems Engineer

Permanent PositionOur client is looking for an experienced systems engineer to drive process optimization, automation, and operational excellence across warehouse and logistics operations through data analysis, system design, and cross-functional collaboration.Job Description
- Analyze Warehouse Operations: Collect and interpret operational data (e.g. inventory, cycle times, equipment performance, etc.) to support process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Support Automation Design: Assist in designing and customizing automation solutions (e.g. AGVs, sortation systems, etc.) including layout planning and system integration.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with external vendors and tech partners to ensure automation solutions meet performance and functional standards.
- Simulation & Modeling: Perform basic simulations to assess the impact of new processes and/or automation technologies.
- Develop Process Standards: Establish and implement standardized warehouse operations (receiving, picking, packing, etc.) post-automation.
- Conduct Gap Analysis: Map current vs. future processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for operational improvement.
- Project Management Support: Assist in project planning and execution including timeline, resource coordination, documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Change Management & Training: Support change management efforts by training staff, collecting feedback and communicating changes across all stakeholder levels.

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Science or related fields with at least 3 years of relevant experience in logistics and supply chain environment.
- Data Analysis Experience: Prior experience in analyzing operational data within logistics or warehouse settings.
- Warehouse Operations Knowledge: Strong understanding of end-to-end warehouse functions and processes.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau for data analysis and visualization.
- Process Optimization: Familiarity with process mapping techniques and standardization frameworks.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Team & Independent Work: Comfortable working independently and in cross-functional teams.
