  Job Description

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with M&E/MEP consultants, engineering consultants and data centre design consultants.

  • Engage consultants early in the project design stage to promote products and influence technical specifications.

  • Drive product specification activities to secure inclusion in project design documents, technical specifications and approved product lists.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the BMS, HVAC and data centre markets.

  • Conduct technical presentations, product briefings and solution discussions with consultants and other project stakeholders.

  • Provide pre-sales technical support, including product selection, technical recommendations, compliance documentation and tender submissions.

  • Work closely with internal sales teams, distributors, system integrators and contractors to convert specified projects into commercial opportunities.

  • Monitor upcoming data centre and building infrastructure projects, consultant requirements and market developments.

  • Build a strong project pipeline through consultant engagement and specification-driven business development.

  Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.

  • Relevant experience in specification sales, consultant engagement, technical pre-sales or business development within BMS, HVAC controls, sensors, instrumentation or related building technologies.

  • Proven experience influencing product specifications and getting products specified by engineering consultants is essential.

  • Established working relationships with major engineering and data centre consulting firms.

  • Strong understanding of consultant-driven project sales and the design-to-tender project lifecycle.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proactive, commercially minded and capable of developing opportunities through technical engagement.
