    General Counsel, Legal & Compliance, APAC (Pharmaceutical)


    Permanent Position
    A leading European based pharmaceutical company is seeking a General Counsel (Head of Legal) to join the team. You will be responsible for legal and compliance support for all aspects of the company’s APAC businesses and providing legal advice and guidance on all matters relating to the businesses and operations in countries within the APAC region, including contracts, transactions, regulatory matters and corporate governance matters.

    Job Description

    • Providing advice to the business on legal and compliance issues
    • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating distributor, sale and purchase agreements and other contracts.
    • Advising on disputes, claims and litigation.
    • Advising on pharmaceutical and medical device industry issues such as product registration, and promotional and advertising practices
    • Reviewing changes in legislation that may affect the business
    • Evaluating and assessing current processes to identify compliance gaps and effective solutions.
    • Engage with other members of the Legal department and outside counsel, compliance, finance and other functional areas as necessary to support all of the above.
    • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behaviour.

    • Admitted to practice as a solicitor (or equivalent), with approximately 10 - 15 years post qualification experience.

    Regional Regulatory Affairs Manager / Senior Manager

    A global, commercial-stage biotechnology company focus on discovering, developing, manufacturing and commercializing innovative medicines is seeking a Regulatory Affairs professional to manage regulatory activities for SEA region. Our ideal senior RA candidate for this role should have had prior pharmaceutical industry experience with good communication, negotiation skills and prescription product exposure.

    Job Description

    • Obtain successful registration of new products and be compliant and effective with all product safety activities in SEA
    • Manage and oversee all relevant maintenance activities potentially including Life Cycle Management strategy
    • Collaborate and communicate effectively with teams internally and external bodies to meet business objectives
    • Prepare, submit and support clinical trial applications including all related safety activities
    • Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulations, including proposed and final regulations and provide regulatory affairs related information to other divisions and department
    • Assist regulatory country lead to provide expert regulatory input to strategic decision making, including portfolio review, prioritization and external communications
    • Assist regulatory country lead to develop and maintain standard operating procedures or local working practices
